of Allegan, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at her home. Mary Belle was born November 22, 1930, in Dunn, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Joe and Lela Pope. She had worked at Friedlens in Allegan for over 20 years, and Lifesavers in Holland for 7 years. Surviving are her 5 children; Inez Clemens, Randy Parish, Sherrie Horton, Frank Schneider, and Margaret Christman, all of Allegan, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Benny Pope, 4 sisters; Aline Smith, Pop Blount, Alice Turlington, and Margaret Bowden, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, 2 sisters; Ruth and Lillian, and her brother, Graylon. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, July 20, at 6 pm at the Eagles Lodge in downtown Allegan. Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice, or the Adult Generation Day Care C/O, Allegan County Medical Care Community. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
